Technical audits assess existing sites for constraints, design errors, and limitations. Issues like misaligned doors, unsecured passages, or unsuitable infrastructure can hinder standard solutions.
Tailored responses are needed to balance intrusion protection, safety, evacuation, and daily operations. The goal is to adapt protections to the building without unreasonable modifications.

Integrating Equipment into Site Operations
Installing new equipment doesn’t end at commissioning; it can alter habits, procedures, and responsibilities.
A technically effective system can cause incidents if users don’t understand it or lack clear safety information. Audits should prepare for these issues by ensuring proper information, training, and procedures for safe, coherent use.
Organising the Investment
Recommendations are divided into three levels: essential measures, secondary improvements, and equipment for convenience or optimization.
This prioritisation spreads investments over several years, typically three, preventing excessive immediate costs while maintaining security.
The audit also considers long-term savings, as some investments may lower security costs and provide a return on investment in five to ten years.
A Short Visit, Followed by Detailed Study
The on-site phase typically lasts one to two days, depending on the facility’s size and complexity, to identify constraints, equipment locations, and existing infrastructure.
The main work continues in the office, where the team verifies equipment specs, studies system communications, determines cable and wireless connections, and estimates costs and phases.
This study may take two days to a week. It produces a technical and financial roadmap that aligns security measures with needs identified in the security audit while preventing conflicts between systems.
